i own a repair shop, and there's no heater core that can be changed in a few minutes, you need a good Haynes repair manual on this car,it will guide you through the whole process,on doing this one, there's a lot to changing one on a escort, buy a good manual and read it good, you,ll see what I'm talking about good luck,i hope this help,s.

Its probabily located under the dashboard somewhere, thats all I know dude. Ive only changed 1 heater core before, but it was on a Pontiac, but it only took 10-15 mins.
If it is anything like my S15 Jimmy 4X4 find a new car!

It was behind the dash like all of them but it took 4 days to change it as you have to remove the entire dash to get to it.

Most heater cores I have changed (About 7) have taken from 20 minutes to 4 hours, this was the worst I have ever had to do, and 4 weeks later a head gasket blew!

Oh well.
ur model is quite old n difficult to get its spare parts.u need certain modification of ur heater core.ask the mechanic 4 help.
Buy a repair manual, or go to the nearest public library to look at one for free.
