Is it hard to change a heater core on a 2001 dodge ram 1500 yourself?

yes it is ,if you have never done it before i suggest you let a shop do this one,there's too much details involved in doing this to take a chance on messing it up,they aren't easy to do,you just about have to pull the complete dash out of it and lay it off to the side,its not a job for most people to attempt to do,good luck.

yes it is very hard.in fact the entire instrument panel,steering column etc has to be completely removed.the labor guide says6 to 8 hrs if im not mistaken.if youre not an experienced mechanic id leave it alone.get it done professionally.
