How difficult is it to change the heater core on a 98 Dodge Dakota?

you have to remove the dash the the heater box and disassemble it to get to the heater core,its takes me about 5-6 hours to do one,usually for a beginner its about a 7-8 hour job by the time you get it all put back together and working again, it helps if you have good repair manual handy on doing this one,they give details in it that will help make it go a lot faster,good luck

Get yourself a chilton or Haynes manual,that will give you the best info on the difficulty of changing the heater core,their are too many steps to tell you on here.Good luck to you.
The entire dash will need to be removed inorder to get access to the heater core housing. Labor hours show about 5hr job.
