I don%26#039;t want to have to change the heater core.I have acces to both hoses and flushed it with water, but I need something to fill the core with and let it sit. Then flush..|||did you try backflushing it?
backflushing (running water thru it in the opposite direction of normal flow)
[HC outlet flows to water pump, so flush from water pump side to backflush!]|||Not much more you can do, the sediment lodged in the core is from radiator rust. This rust comes from old coolant that was never replaced and the coolant becomes acidic and eats away at the internals of the engine. The core is made up of fins and they are small so the rust backs itself up inside of the core and the radiator. Now do you realize by not changing the coolant regularly, this acidic liquid also eats away at the freeze plugs and the water pump and the head gasket? Antifreeze to change is cheap,($20), internal cooling and engine parts are not. Put yourself on a routine and change the coolant every 2 or 3 years.
good luck.......|||use the super clean or radiator flush.......use a funnel and pout the entire contents into the hose and let it sit in core.........
